Yes. Say you have Tylenol with codeine left over after a knee injury and you forget about it and it's sitting in your medicine cabinet a year later. The one problem with the story was the ending. I am not for drugs, and anything to help people with their problem is great. Unfortunately you have just destroyed dentistry (Novocaine is a cocaine derivative) and I don't believe that any morphine derivatives have been synthesized (codeine among others). So your world is literally going to feel a lot of pain about his stand on drugs.
