The only flaw that nagged at me while I read what that I was aware that the defense attorney didn't make a point of the obvious fact that the cuckolded husband could have somehow used sufficient of his blood (maybe refrigerated) to fake the murder scene. So there was great doubt that a murder had been committed. The author could have argued in court, too, that anyone could have stolen his shovels in order to set him up. Even so, very good story.
