I know that you can't eat grapefruit on colchicine, but when filling my new allopurinol prescription today, the pharmacist told me to avoid grapefruit on it. I found that odd as I've never heard of a grapefruit reaction to allopurinol and my side label on the prescription bottle doesn't say to avoid grapefruit (but colchicine's side label did.)
